Being one of the most con­ser­v­a­tive dis­tricts in our nation, the Texas 11th Con­gres­sional Dis­trict must be lead­ing the charge in pro­mot­ing the tenets of con­ser­vatism in our nation's Capi­tol. That is sim­ply not the case with our cur­rent representation.

For this rea­son, I am run­ning for the Repub­li­can nom­i­na­tion to rep­re­sent the 11th Con­gres­sional Dis­trict of Texas.

There is a time for talk and a time for action, the time for action is now. We have played defense long enough, we must not be timid in advanc­ing con­ser­v­a­tive policies.

It is uncon­scionable to expect future gen­er­a­tions to pay for our lack of resolve in deal­ing with the prob­lems our elected offi­cials have created.

It is imper­a­tive to restore the key­stones on which our nation was built. Among these are inclu­sion of God, Con­sti­tu­tion­ally lim­ited gov­ern­ment, fis­cal respon­si­bil­ity, eco­nomic free­dom, indi­vid­ual lib­erty and with it per­sonal account­abil­ity. Deci­sions based on these prin­ci­ples will result in a remark­ably fast turn­around for our nation.

Con­ser­v­a­tives must lead the fight in the fol­low­ing areas:

• Bal­ance the bud­get now….not con­tin­ued irre­spon­si­ble borrowing
• Free mar­ket capitalism…not redis­tri­b­u­tion of wealth through tax­payer bailouts
• Bor­der security…not amnesty
• Reduce the size of government…not add more layers
• Amer­i­can sov­er­eignty… not sub­servience to supra­na­tional organizations
• Restore eco­nomic free­dom and indi­vid­ual liberty….not more regulation
• Per­sonal respon­si­bil­ity… not gov­ern­ment dependency

We can no longer afford to invest in sta­tus quo or go along to get along Repub­li­can representation.

As one of the freest, most pros­per­ous parts of this great nation, the 11^th Con­gres­sional Dis­trict of the Great State of Texas must lead in car­ry­ing the banner.
