We are being told that, once again, we face another crisis in America. This time it is health care. Government intervention is portrayed as the solution to all our problems if only we will pass this one more piece of legislation empowering more government control over our lives.
Last year we were told that a financial apocalypse was upon us and if the taxpayers would agree to a $700 billion bailout of financial institutions, insurance companies and Wall Street we could avert the impending catastrophe. The taxpayers said no and, on Sept. 29, the House represented us and voted no.
